The domain name Candyfloss.com sold yesterday on GoDaddy.com for $7,200 USD, The domain was registered in 2003 and recently expired and has been auctioned on the GoDaddy platform via its partnership with TuCows.
The domain name was once owned by Frank Schilling’s company Name Administration Inc, and then between Sept 2018 and March 2019, it would appear the domain name was acquired and remained under privacy protection at TuCows.
The company that acquired the domain name set up a store on Shopify in 2019, however, it looks based on their social media Instagram account where they also had the handle @Candyfloss that it didn’t continue trading for long after the launch with no interactions for over a year.
I think this is a Mid Five figure sale all day long to an end-user, its a great brandable and was being used for a clothing store in this example, here is the screengrab below from Archive.
Agree Robbie, a huge win for the buyer and shows that bargains are still out there.
To a motivated end-user it’s a 6 figure buy, maybe 7 if it’s the name of a new coin lol.
A huge congrats to auction winner.
