Following the legal case last year, Facebook’s parent company, Meta, has agreed to a $37.5 million settlement to resolve a lawsuit accusing it of violating users’ privacy by tracking their movements without permission.
Not a huge sum of money to Meta when they earn billions per year, however, it appears they don’t want any domains linked to this case to be in the hands of others and have raised a WIPO dispute on the 14 domains noted below on Case WIPO Case D2023-1344

All of the domain names appear to be registered via the Chinese domain registrar “Chengdu West Dimension Digital Technology Co., Ltd.” aka West.cn, The domain names were registered around the 30th of August 2022 and have been parked at the popular domain parking PPC platform Bodis.com
I am sure these domains will be an easy win for Meta / Facebook – Would you agree?
If the domains have nothing to do with the settlement then there would be no fair use exception, but lawyers sometimes set up domains that include the name of the company for purposes of online claim administration and that sort of thing is allowed.
