I cant believe my last post was back on the 3rd of July, 4 months have gone past like it was only yesterday.
The domain industry appears to be busier than ever with all the new GTLD’s – There seems to be more and more opportunities everyday to make money online.
I have not purchased a single GTLD – I do believe there is money to made with them however I just have not had the time to spend researching each GTLD to establish which are good investments and which aren’t.
I am still working my day job but I am looking ever closer to living the dream of working full time online.
As many of you know I have been developing ScreenProtectors.co.uk over the past 18 months, it certainly has not been easy and only 12 months ago, I thought about trying to sell the domains just to recoup my investment.
However the past three months have been amazing, organic traffic from Google, Yahoo & Bing is growing daily and this traffic is converting – The .co.uk domain name does not seem to have any effect in rankings as we are seeing traffic from across the globe and have been selling Screen Protectors and Cases to clients in USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, Italy, Spain, France and of course the UK.
I also own Screen-Protectors.com and I have decided to start developing this domain, the pricing shall be in US Dollars vs GBP, I am confident that owning this domain and spending the time to create the traffic shall result in additional sales.
As well as the above two domain names I also own CustomScreenProtectors.com – This domain name isn’t getting major traffic but when it does get a lead these are four figure leads…
This month alone we have priced three clients Custom Screen Protectors, secured one sale in four figures which also brought a four figure profit, the other two clients shall hopefully be closed by the start of November one quote alone is for five figures of products from a single click… These are the types of sales that we send our PPC providers every day and only get paid a few cents that can turn into five figure sales…
Many of you are probably wondering well how does it work, can you actually make money with the above?
The answer is YES… I hold virtually no stock of the products and now sell Four Figures per month in sales from ScreenProtectors.co.uk and I soon hope to replicate that with Screen-Protectors.com
I am confident that within the next 12 months, the three domain names above shall turnover Five Figures per month and provide a net profit in four figures.
I am not going to be a millionaire with these domains and websites however having a steady stream of revenue and profit every month outstrips what I was earning in PPC from parking my domains.
Parking isn’t dead but it sure isn’t what it used to be, Google AdSense is going backwards too so for me development is the way forward – I read recently that Drop shipping was dead and while it might be for some if you are trying to drop ship to the UK and using a supplier in China people wont wait 28 days however if you find a partner in that country then drop shipping can be a alive… Very alive in fact if you spend the time and do your due diligence on your partner there is some real opportunities to make money online with this model.
As I said at the beginning of this post development is not easy but if you keep working at it the rewards are there…
