Compute.xyz Reportedly Sells for $80,000 – And the .si List Keeps Growing
Swetha has sold Compute.xyz for a reported $80,000 through Spaceship, according to TLD Investors, which put up its own write-up on the deal.
Elliot Silver posted about the same sale separately, calling it "another significant .xyz domain name sale at Spaceship for Swetha" and noting she is "still crushing it" despite what he called "some headwinds" in the market generally. That's two accounts describing the same deal independently rather than one repeating the other, which is about as close to corroborated as this pack gets, though neither is the buyer or seller confirming the number themselves.
Domain Shane put the price in context, listing Compute.xyz alongside what he says are the other top public .xyz sales: Quantum.xyz at $199,000 and Intelligence.xyz at $150,000. On that list $80,000 for a one-word compute-related name looks like a mid-table result rather than a record, but Shane's take was still "great sale for Swetha."
The .si list is getting long again
NameBio's daily report (also carried in full on NamePros) put Sunday's total domain sales at $476,000, topped by CMPT.com at $20,000 and Echo.co at $17,000. Three of the names in that list were .si: Translate.si at $7,000, Immersion.si at $5,000 and Very.si at $4,999. I checked the registry on all three and the last-changed dates line up with the sale window, which at least confirms the names were live and moving on the dates claimed, nothing more.
DomainCX repackaged the same three sales with NameBio credited as the source, and added Lounge.si at $1,406 – so that's one data set surfacing twice, not two confirmations.
A separate roundup posted by an account called domainnews on NamePros listed sales not in NameBio's numbers: Run.si at $34,999 through Atom, Octavius.si at $2,000 and Collins.si at $4,500 through Spaceship, Hyperfocus.si at $3,599 and Mafia.si at $2,600, and Ambitions.si at $4,999. The account says every name was "listed by an owner we have verified" and paid through Spaceship SafePay or Escrow.com – that's their claim about their own process, not something I've checked myself. Run.si at $34,999 is the biggest number in that list by a wide margin.
On the legal side, Domain Gang linked to an interview with Igor Motsnyi, and a NamePros post from an account called Acroplex fills in who he is: founder of Motsnyi IP Group and a UDRP panelist since 2016. The interview covers cybersquatting risk, Reverse Domain Name Hijacking and, specifically, the .si registration rush. My take: every gold rush eventually produces test cases, and a lawyer who sits as a UDRP panelist talking about .si by name is worth reading before you stock up on dictionary words in a TLD nobody priced six months ago.
Domain Gang also has a separate piece it's calling "The Slovenia Squatter" – I only have the headline to go on, but it points the same direction.
Also on my radar
- CinqueTerre.com sold for $26,138 in a DropCatch auction, per Domain Gang's own results post.
- Lumis says it has brokered over $100 million in domain deals so far in 2026, reported by Elliot Silver at DomainInvesting.
- Afternic is teasing down payments on its Lease to Own product, and DomainNameWire asked the obvious follow-up: has Afternic tested this on its own portfolio first?
Is $80,000 the right number for a one-word .xyz like Compute, or has the ceiling on these names already moved past it? Let me know what you think.
